This paradise was mine for a brief moment

Around 1964 while in the military, I stayed in a tent on the beach at Vieques Island for over a month. It was the most beautiful land I had ever seen.

There were white and black sandy beaches as well as mountains, wild horses, coconuts, many hues of clear blue, green and aqua waters.

The days were warm and the nights on the beach were breath taking.

The snorkeling and diving were perfect because of the beautiful clear water.

This paradise was mine for a brief moment in my life but its memories are forever. I thank you the people of Puerto Rico for sharing your land
