For now there is only one major resort in Isla de Vieques, Puerto Rico. The Martineau Bay Resort & Spa has received great reviews from major recognized travel guides. Vieques is most definitely the next hottest destination and the true last undiscovered island on the Caribbean. The Martineau Bay Resort was established just in time. Soon after the Navy left, tourism has been on the rise and additional accommodations that catered to "seasoned" travelers was needed on the island. Martineau Bay Resort & Spa will soon be undergoing renovations in order to turn the resort into the very first W Hotel on the Caribbean. We personally have stayed various times at Martineau Bay Resort & Spa and we were very, very satisfied with the service, food and spacious suites. The views from the room are simply amazing.
