Playa Grande is one of my favorite beaches to take a walk. The sand is very coarse and it looks like more of a collection of broken shells and coral than sand, with every step I seem to find a little treasure from the sea.  

The scenery at Playa Grande Beach is worth the drive, you will find big rocks along the coast, the sand very unique and coarse with a dark tan color, but still very beautiful.

This beach is perfect to spend some time with yourself and enjoy the peace, quiet and solitude in Vieques. Be mesmerized with the endless blue horizon, and enjoy the sweet sounds of the waves singing a melody as they greet the rocks along the coast.

Hold hands with your loved one and take a walk along the beach as your feet are caressed by the refreshing Caribbean waters.

A jeep is recommend it if you want to explore this beautiful and scenic beach. There is no cell phone reception in this area of the island, since it is close to the radar.

In Vieques beauty seems to have no end. No matter where you go, you will find beauty, beauty and ... more beauty. Come to Vieques and see the Caribbean the way nature intended it to be... natural, wild and free.
