Playa Grande is one of the most difficult beaches to reach inVieques and also one of the most unique on the island.

The road leading to the beach is very narrow, and when it rains the bumps on the dirt road can get flooded with water.

 

The scenery at Playa Grande Beach is worth the drive, you will find big rocks along the coast, the sand very unique and coarse with a dark tan color, but still very beautiful.

This beach is perfect to spend some time with yourself and enjoy the peace, quiet and solitude in Vieques. Be mesmerized with the endless blue horizon, and enjoy the sweet sounds of the waves singing a melody as they greet the rocks along the coast.

 

Hold hands with your loved one and take a walk along the beach as your feet are caressed by the refreshing Caribbean waters.

 

This scenic location is located at Playa Grande, if you are look back at the island from the coast you will see this quebrada flowing into the beach.

A jeep is highly recommend it if you want to explore this beautiful and scenic beach. There is no cell phone reception in this area of the island, since it is close to the radar.
