Perfect Island Getaway Hideaway

In September I enjoyed a spectacular Caribbean experience at Casa Flamboyan. The casa is very clean and everything is new and high quality. It has a wonderful roof top deck where we sipped cool drinks, looked at the water views and enjoyed the sunsets.

We also utilized the covered porch where we had morning coffee and delicious Puerto Rican pastries from the local panaderia. We ate many meals on this porch. It was great to have our own clothes washing facilities and the outside shower was perfect for rinsing off the beach sand.

Each morning I would have a before breakfast swim at a small nearby beach. Usually we walked but the drive was less 5 minutes so we even squeezed in a last swim on our day of departure. The casa works very well for 2 couples.

Less than 10 minutes drive away is the small town where there are restaurants, internet, ATM and groceries. The beaches are spectacular. We took different routes to many of the beaches and enjoyed exploring Vieques. A highlight was the visit to Bio Bay! I am looking forward to returning to Vieques and to my next visit to Casa Flamboyan.
