I WAS BORN AND RAISE IN THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND , KNOW I LIVE SAN DIEGO . MY ADVENTURES ARE MANY W/ ALL MY FRIEND , JOWIMADA . VIEQUES IS A VERY UNIQUE PLACE FROM THE BEACHES TO MT PIRATA TO UNDER WATER CAVES . LET KEEP VIEQUES SIMPLE AND DON'T TURN IT TO A ST THOMAS . I GO TO VIEQUES ONCE A YEAR AND PLANING TO MOVE PERMANENTLY IN 5 YRS TO RETIRED , SEE YA IN DECEMBER 09 EN LA NAZA CON MIS PANAS DRINKING CHICHAU .

I have spent some time on this beautiful island while serving as a Navy Corpsman attached to the 10th Marines. (1964-68) It was such a beautiful place even back then. I recall setting up on Blue Beach, our tent was about 20' from the water. I would give anything to go back there today. The beaches were fantastic, all except where the bombs were landing. Would love to live on that island today.
