Bananas - Wish they had typical Puerto Rican Food

The location of the bar / restaurant is great, right in El Malecon with great views of Esperanza Beach.

Overall experience: Great views, good music, friendly service, but... food was very average.

The Food - I think it is a tourist trap and highly overrated. The burgers were nothing special in our opinion and the rest of the menu was not really "tropical inspired".

My husband and I travel to new places and trying the traditional food of the destination is part of the experience. We highly recommend that you go to the restaurants on the island that offer typical food. If you are ok with a burger and fries in the Caribbean and simply can't get out of your typical food box back home, then Bananas is a great choice.

Bananas is good to get a few drinks and enjoy the view. It is unfortunate that there are not many traditional Puerto Rican restaurants in "El Malecon".

Overall, we has a good time, will go back to Bananas for drinks.

We had a great time in Vieques!! We can't wait to go back.
